Overview & Business Case

The Challenge: Navigating the ever-expanding sea of streaming content can be overwhelming. A show grabs your attention, then suddenly you’re lost, distracted, or drifting off to sleep. Enter ZewindTV, a streaming companion sidekick born from this very need.

The Team: Recognizing this common pain point, a seasoned team formed to tackle it. I, alongside two former leaders from Paramount & Pluto TV, embarked on this ambitious startup journey as co-founders.

The Vision: To create a minimum viable product (MVP) showcasing the power of ZewindTV and attracting an initial user base of 200-500. Securing $50k in funding was also key to fuel this MVP development.

My Role: As a co-founder, I wore many hats. I played a pivotal role in fundraising, while also taking on the responsibilities of Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Together with the other co-founders, we tackled every challenge head-on, laying the groundwork for ZewindTV’s future.

Task & Solution

As ZewindTV’s Chief Product Officer, I embraced the challenges and opportunities of bootstrapping a startup with limited resources. My focus was on strategic execution, leveraging my diverse skillset to drive growth and secure early traction.

Designing the User Experience: Putting my UX and design skills to work, I crafted the entire visual language of ZewindTV. Using Figma, Photoshop, Canva, and other tools, I developed low- and medium-fidelity wireframes for the platform. This clear blueprint facilitated smooth collaboration with our developers, resulting in the seamless launch of our first product iteration.

Building Community and Traction: To capture early interest and gather valuable user feedback, I designed and launched a simple website for pre-beta signups. This targeted approach yielded over 400 pre-registered users, demonstrating significant early-stage market validation.

Securing Investment for Future Growth: My understanding of business and design served me well in crafting ZewindTV’s first pitch deck and investor one-sheet. These compelling documents, developed in collaboration with my co-founders, ultimately secured the initial funding crucial for building our MVP.

These key contributions highlight my ability to thrive in a resource-constrained environment, wear multiple hats effectively, and drive tangible results. As ZewindTV continues to evolve, I’m confident that my dedication to product vision and innovative execution will remain critical to our success.

Results

ZewindTV is still considered in stealth startup mode, operating as a side project for a handful of those involved. Further details on the progress are not yet disclosed.
