With 15+ years of deep product management experience, I wear two hats comfortably: seasoned leader and hands-on contributor. My unique strength lies in my full-stack range, comfortably navigating between the analytical math of product strategy and the creative side within user experience. This adaptability has always allowed me to keep a great balance of speed, quality and aesthetics. I’m so lucky to have found product management as it’s an amazing job, and I’d do it for free if I could.
My right-brained side.
Going back to my youth, I was always the kid drawing cartoons, brimming with artistic expression, long before I discovered sports, and being super competitive. In some grades, I admit to over-doodling in class, but it was a testament to my enduring passion for art. As an adult in NYC, I took many art classes, exploring vibrant palettes, chalk painting, and still-life drawing.
Now, as a product manager, UX has become my new artistic playground. I relish diving into Figma, building wireframes, and meticulously crafting color palettes. I confess, I can be a bit of a pixel perfectionist when it comes to app UIs, firmly believing that less is truly more. Every detail, every shade, has the power to speak volumes, and I strive to create experiences that are both intuitive and visually captivating.
My left-brained side.
My business degree with a computer science twist led me to write over 45k lines of code for software used by banks, media companies, and even some fresh-faced startups. I have a real knack for databases and love making sense of data, especially when it comes to marketing and product insights.
One of my favorite parts of product management and marketing technology is how mature the 3rd party product landscape has become. With tools like google analytics, amplitude, Braze, it’s amazing what you can do to personalize and configure your product without even writing code. But having a solid technology foundation not only makes the role more fun, but more effective.
Outside of work….
I live in West Los Angeles with my amazing wife, my beautiful kids and our loving white bichon-poodle “Ferris” (not pictured, we couldn’t take him to Cancun!). When I’m not with my family or working, I have a thirst for my hobbies that include pickleball, basketball and chess.
